| Chinese and American leaders hold friendly talks at Apec forum |

Chinese President Mr. Hu Jintao held talks with his US counterpart George Bush in Sydney during the Apec forum. After 90 minutes meeting Mr. Hu called the talks "candid and friendly" and Mr Bush described the talks as friendly despite the fact they tackled thorny issues including religious freedom, climate chnage and exchange rates. Mr. Bush was invited to 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, an invitation which he said was "anxious to accept". |
